I'm not sure where to put this but I think General is best suited so here we go!

What features would you like in a new forum software? At the moment I have all the bog standard ones, but would like to include features that are really innovative and really WOW.

Here are a few screenshots of what I have at the moment...

Looks very nice man, I started my own forum software a while ago but could never get my head around the math of views, replies etc. That and the template I was using sucked badly.

Perhaps an improved syntax highlighter (with tabbing support) for more code types instead of just html and php, could be handy for more 'code developing' forums.

Fast ajax reply is a must aswell I think.

If those screenshots are anything to go by, I'm very much looking forward to seeing it working and operational!

Having tested it myself, I think Gareth you're onto a winner.

Again I agree with the syntax highlighter. Maybe integrate timezones.. P

Try to use slugs instead of just id's in urls too when rewriting - eg. 1-category-name-here.

Helps in seo

Yes and no. I did put this project on hold for a long time, but recently I have started to work on it again (I started from scratch reusing elements of the first version) with a friend. However as of yet progress is going very slow..!

Why? :)

I have to say, I really did like the screenshots. YOu're rewriting it in CI now right? Let us know if you have any updates/previews :).

Does anybody do UX work here who'd be willing to help me out a bit (half an hour tops probably)? It's directly to do with the forum.
