I

Oh, Photoshop! Oh, Adobe!
How thou hast transformed me!

Once designer whizz-kid,
now with only
my old-timer's bid:

For XHTML! For CSS! For
writing things by hand!

For trial-and-error web design,
it may take such long time,
but how can Photoshop generate
such interesting variations
of code,
colour,
shape,
space...

by accident?

II

Computers cannot code themselves!
Let "Sams Teach Yourself" books fill your shelves!

Don't be lazy, don't be bad!

My old ways may look backward and
silly in this world of automated hands,

but Mel's blackjack never was amended.

III

So. Farewell then
the long-gone days
when designing was started,
worked on,
and completed
all
by

Hand.

Goodbye to links, and ex, and vi.

I shall ne'er forget thee,
Thou golden hand-made days.

So you'll lock a thread that's contributing, but you post up a poem. Flawed logic.

Jack and Jill went to the hill,
An internet cafe in dover,

So bad it got them run over.

Perhaps lacking in imagery. I find the metaphysical link between the words "trial" and "Photoshop" particularly strong, and suggest you try using it in future works.

I see what you mean.

This topic is frivolous.

@thinglie, please give me a reason for this topic? huh.gif If you're that bored you shouldn't be at a computer.

I for one see no reason to disallow certain frivolous poetic tendencies which inevitably come to us all sooner or later. If one can't post a poem about design approaches in a general chitter chatter forum of a web dev forum then oh lordy, troubles so hard. wacko.gif
