Hey there!

A big thing I want to prevent here at Web Develop Forum is people spamming. For this reason I have decided to do the following. I will be adding a thanks system to Web Develop Forum. Each "thanks" is worth 1 point so to speak. To post a thread in the marketplace will require x amount of thanks points. This way, people actually earn to post there instead of just spamming on the forums to advertise. I hope you'll all like this new mod, the programmer is currently working on it smile.gif.

Thanks,

Sam

Interesting approach. I'm interested in seeing how it works. This way, only those who contribute properly to the forum get to post int he marketplace.

Me likes.

I'm not sure whether here is the right place, or maybe here or even here, but what about those members of the community who don't really post new topics? Maybe allow thanking on a per-post basis instead of a per-topic one, so replies can get thanked also? It would be a shame to only allow people who start topics to post their wares in the marketplace. That's the case currently, unless I have got something confused.

Done. Reason it was turned off was due to the row displaying under all posts. I will have to come up with a fix! smile.gif

It doesn't seem to work for me, just sticks at the "Loading. Please Wait..." popup box indefinitely (well, I only kept the window open for a few minutes). When I refresh, the Thanks button is gone but no message underneath the appropriate post which was thanked.

Yep, noticed this myself too. It does add the points but the loader just doesn't seem to want to go away!

Will look into this guys, sorry for the small bugs! Will try and get them all ironed out ASAP.
