Who has tried the Google Chromium OS? And what are your thoughts? Seems a little simple for me but since their whole idea behind it is to use web applications instead of local applications, you don't really need anything else! (DOWNLOAD LINK AT BOTTOM OF THIS POST)

Some screenshots for those who haven't laid eyes upon it yet:

I like the idea behind it, its cheaper cause its free and you wont need to buy like a huge hard drive just for you can have an os installed, it will take us back to the days of like 3GB hard drives in computers (I have one laying around :D)

As for my personal use of it, I don't think I will use it perhaps i will stick it on an old laptop however there is no 'photoshop' online to do actual web design so you kind of need to install local stuff for me.

http://www.photoshop.com :)

However, you can't edit big images on there due to a restriction in flash (images over 3xxx pixels if I'm not mistaken). There are even better online photoshop clones out there :). Online applications are growing, but it will take a while before people will really start using Chromium.

Strange, it should do - I turned on hotlink protection on, maybe that was the problem. Let me know if you're still experiencing any issues and I will remove the htaccess :) (downloading fine here)

Did you copy/paste the link or click on it? If you did click on it, I will remove the htaccess.

And thanks, it's not too shabby, and the dedicated server helps quite a bit too :).

I have a bit of bandwidth to burn so I will keep it up while it's still realistic and isn't causing any issues on my server :).

Someone just contacted me saying they couldn't login with their google account. Below is the fix.

For users experiencing login problems, you can use the following username and password:
Username: chronos
Password: chronos

In VMware the network type needs to be set to Bridged, not the default NAT. :)

Also if chronos doesn't work as a password, password is another password to try!
