What do you think of XML? Personally, I think it is rather underused in itself, but what's your view?

Underused? Not in the slightest! XML is a cornerstone for huge amounts of web traffic from the backbones of enterprise applications through to the adoption of RSS & Atom feeds by the masses. As for what I think of XML, it's perfectly suited to its job (a vast and wide-reaching job) and there's not really much else to say about it in that regard.
When and how was the last time you used XML: as a consumer, a programmer, or other use?

I have to agree with Peter, Xml is far from being underused. Although it's most certainly not overused. With the web booming toward AJAX oriented applications Xml is on its way to becoming one of the fost used resources. Tons of corperations out there choose to use XML in there API's like Peter stated. Google uses in in their sitemaps. The popular game, World of Warcraft, has their entire site coded into it aswell as Blizzards other game's site.
