Who else here has been playing around with Photoshop CS4? What do you think of it? Cool to see 3d in it but doubt I'll use it (much). What cool new features have you noticed?

Hmm I have not tested this, but now that you mention it I really want to play around with the 3d part.

I downloaded the whole of Adobe CS4 (just to keep up to date). I don't use any of photoshop's new features at the moment

Im un decided about the tabs tbh. when i want to open one thing and drag it into a previous doccument, i have to remove form the tab bar (not that hard, i know) and when you maximise a window (out of tab bar) it fills the whole screen, a bit anoying for me personaly, I still think its great, but tbh the past 3-4 versions would stil do for me.

I have to agree with you Aaron, bugs me too. Shame they didn't add the Extract filter in either in this version as a standard. Instead you have to download it from Adobe. Not a biggy but why didn't they just include it as a standard?

And to be honest, it's not worth it. Not for us web designers atleast. Bit of a disappointment really.

It sure is pretty but it takes a while to get use to. Ps, if you get frustrated with tabs, right click it and Move to New window. smile.gif

I should try it... I doubt I'll get it though.. I'm not much of a designer, CS3 has far more features than I would ever use.

Cs4 isnt muc better then cs3. About the same except for the gui interface. alot of features that cs4 has you can get in cs3 with addons. The sad part is all the confusing intergration with different options. I personally use PhotoImpact X3. I can do same effects and same outcome as cs3 or cs4. with less work and confusion. Th only option cs3 or 4 has that x3 doesnt is text replacement with same font. But i can open any psd in x3 and change it just like i would in ps.
