I have been trying to learn it in C#, and I have a weird learning style so I am having a hard time finding something that works for me. Although, ASP.NET is quite powerful with their Visual Web Developer. I have purchased a book so hopefully I will learn a little bit of it.
I went from trying to learn asp.net to code clients sites in the future to just using Joomla as the easy alternative.

When I was learning C# I found it most useful to make something practical rather than trawling through learning the actual syntax (which is both a waste of time and boring if you've learned other languages already). If I remember rightly, the book that I used made an e-commerce site from scratch.
Edit: Here's that book: Beginning ASP.NET 2.0 E-Commerce in C# 2005 However it's out of date now and there are updated editions which would be more fitting for learning C# today.
