I was working on a site that required a coda style slider and sIFR. I ended up going for a jQuery type sIFR and a premade jQuery slider. Both worked fine on the same page, great! They weren't clashing. However, when I visited a different page within the same cms, the sIFR stopped working. However, the HTML and JS was all there. Took me ages to figure out what the problem was.

Quite odd really...

On the pages that didn't use the slider, I had to remove the js file includes out of the header that were for the slider only. Because I wasn't using these files it was affecting the rest of my JS that I WAS using. Does anybody know why this is?

Maybe there was a clash in functions? For example maybe on the second page of the cms when it was not working a function was called by the sifr which was the same name as a function in the slider...

Possibly. Just found it weird that when I called all functions (for sIFR & the slider), it worked perfectly but when I had a page with sIFR only, it refused to work. unsure.gif
